I. Pre-Installation Preparation

Dimensional Verification: Confirm that the door opening (width, height, and wall thickness) matches the frame. Ensure the wall surface is flat and vertical (tolerance ≤3mm/m).

Inventory Check: Verify all components are present: Door leaf, Frame/Hinge plates, Turkish 3D Adjustable Rising Hinges, Turkish Rotary Cam Lock, Strike plate, Internal Safety Release (Push-bar/Wheel), Anti-frost heater cable (for Freezers), and EPDM gaskets.

Tool Kit: Spirit level, plumb line, power drill, Allen keys (5mm/6mm), torque wrench, low-temp silicone sealant, and PU expanding foam.

II. Frame Installation

Positioning: Place the frame into the opening. Use wooden wedges for temporary fixing.

Tolerance: Vertical ≤2mm/m; Horizontal ≤1mm/m; Diagonal ≤3mm.

Fixing: Secure with stainless steel expansion bolts or mushroom-head bolts (max spacing ≤600mm). Apply low-temp sealant to all bolt holes to prevent cold bridges.

Anti-Frost System (Freezers ≤−18°C): Embed the self-regulating heater cable into the frame groove. Verify insulation resistance ≥1MΩ before sealing the cover strip.

Sealing: Fill gaps between the frame and wall with PU foam. Once cured, trim and apply sealant to all edges for a clean finish.

III. Turkish Hinges & Door Leaf Mounting (Critical Step)

Hinge Mounting: Fix the Turkish 3D adjustable hinges to the leaf and frame.

Placement: Top hinge at 1/6 door height from the top; Bottom hinge at 1/6 from the bottom.

Leaf Attachment: With two-person coordination, lift the door leaf and slide it onto the hinge pins (Lift-off design).

3D Rising Action Adjustment: Use the eccentric screws on the hinges to calibrate:

Alignment: Ensure the leaf is parallel to the frame with a uniform 2–4mm perimeter gap.

Rising Mechanism: Adjust so the door drops significantly to compress the gaskets when closed (Drop-on-Close) and rises slightly upon opening (Lift-on-Open) to eliminate friction.

Locking: Tighten the locknuts once the hermetic seal is verified.

IV. Lockset Installation & Calibration

Lock Assembly: Install the Turkish rotary cam lock and external cylinder.

Strike Plate Alignment: Close the door and engage the lock to mark the exact position for the strike plate on the frame. Fix the plate and test the latching.

Functional Test: Cycle the door 3–5 times. The handle should rotate smoothly, and the multi-point latches must engage securely.

Safety Verification: MANDATORY: Test the internal safety release (push-bar or glow-in-the-dark wheel) to ensure the door can be opened from the inside manually.

V. Final Inspection & Sealing

Gaskets: Ensure EPDM/Silicone gaskets are mitred at 45° at corners for a continuous seal. Check for air gaps or bulges.

Thermal Test: Power on the heater cable to confirm operational warmth without short-circuiting.

Operational Cycle: Perform 10–20 full open/close cycles to ensure no abnormal friction or misalignment.

Safety Re-check: Re-verify the internal emergency escape function.

⚠️ Important Cautions

Cold Bridge Prevention: All bolts penetrating the insulation must be sealed with silicone to prevent condensation and energy loss.

Frost Protection: Heater cables are mandatory for freezer applications to prevent gasket tearing and frame icing.

Team Safety: Heavy door leaves require at least two people for installation to prevent tipping or injury.

Maintenance: Re-inspect all hardware, strike plates, and gasket compression 1–2 weeks after initial use.
